What belongs in the story

Radio history is bigger than famous names and major-market legends. It also lives in local stations, overnight shifts, short careers, format changes, forgotten personalities, community voices, commercials, jingles, and ordinary broadcasts that mattered to the people who heard them.

Aircheck Radio preserves those recordings and the context around them so listeners can discover not just what was broadcast, but where, when, by whom, and why it belongs in the historical record.

North American scope

The collection mission spans North America. Most preserved material comes from the United States and Canada, with a smaller body of Mexican material, including border stations that played an important role in radio heard across U.S. markets.

Why preservation matters

Broadcasts disappear quickly when recordings are lost, mislabeled, discarded, or separated from the people who remember them. Aircheck Radio works to keep the recording and its historical context together so future listeners can hear radio as it actually sounded.

The goal is not nostalgia for its own sake. It is an accessible historical record built from the voices, stations, communities, and everyday work that made radio what it was.
