Aircheck Radio is excited to welcome a significant new addition to our ever-expanding archive—the Dave Freeman Collection. This special collection features a series of unscoped airchecks from 66 WNBC New York, including legendary broadcasters Al Brady and Bruce Morrow from the year 1974.
A passionate fan of Aircheck Radio, Dave Freeman brings with him these historical airchecks and a lifelong love for radio. Dave’s journey into the world of radio began in 1969 when he was just eleven years old. Over the years, his enthusiasm has only grown, fostering a deep appreciation for shows from various market sizes across the East Coast, from New York to Connecticut. Living in the Hudson Valley, Dave is particularly keen to uncover and share broadcasts from his area as well as from NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, and Connecticut.
Dave’s interest also extends to international radio history. Having visited Montreal and Sydney, Nova Scotia, in 1970 to connect with long-lost relatives, he is particularly fascinated by airchecks from these regions. As Dave begins to upload more of his extensive collection to our website, he plans to introduce his friends to Aircheck Radio’s rich offerings.
Our platform continuously streams over 850 unscoped airchecks, playing them back-to-back around the clock. These recordings preserve the unedited essence of historical radio broadcasts, including original music, commercials, and the unique interactions that characterized each show.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Dave Freeman for his generous contributions. His involvement enriches our archive and helps maintain the vibrant legacy of traditional radio broadcasting.
Aircheck Radio encourages all radio enthusiasts who possess unscoped airchecks to follow in Dave’s footsteps and contribute to our collection. As a nonprofit organization recognized under the 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service, contributing to Aircheck Radio may also offer tax benefits.
